APPLICATION LIMITS

Before submitting, applicants must ensure that their administering institution has not exceeded the following limits:

  • One application per research pillar
  • A maximum of three applications in total across the funding round

Administering institutions are responsible for managing any internal selection or endorsement processes required prior to submission.

STAGE 1- EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)

EOIs close on Wednesday 18th February 2026.

At the EOI stage, applicants will be asked to provide:

  • Project title and plain-language summary
  • Cancer type or subtype, including justification against the survival criteria
  • Research aims and proposed approach
  • Alignment with the selected research pillar
  • Proposed pathway to translation or implementation
  • Consumer involvement
  • Team capability
  • High-level budget
  • CV for the Chief Investigator (maximum two pages each)

Late or incomplete submissions will not be accepted.

NAVIGATING (MOVING THROUGH) THE APPLICATION FORM

On every screen (page of the form) you will find a Form Navigation contents box, this links directly to every page of the application. Click the link to jump directly to the page you want.

You can also click 'next page' or 'previous page' on the top or bottom of each page to move forward or backward through the application.

SAVING YOUR DRAFT APPLICATION

If you wish to leave a partially completed application, press 'save and close' and log out. When you log back in and click on the 'My Submissions' link at the top of the screen, you will find a list of any applications you have started or submitted. You can reopen your draft application and start where you left off.

You can also download any application, whether draft or completed, as a PDF. Click on the 'Download PDF' button located at the bottom of the last page of the application form.

SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION

Before submission, you must review your application using the Review and Submit option in the navigation panel.

Once all required questions are completed and there are no validation errors, you may submit the application by clicking Submit.

Please note:

  • After submission, no further edits or uploads are possible
  • You will receive a confirmation email with a copy of your submitted application attached
  • If you do not receive a confirmation email, your application has not been submitted
  • Please check your junk or spam folder if the confirmation email does not appear promptly

ATTACHMENTS AND SUPPORT DOCUMENTS

As part of the application, you will be required to upload:

  • A Letter of Endorsement from the administering institution (template provided)
  • A two-page CV for the Chief Investigator

Documents must be saved to your computer or storage device prior to upload.

Files may be up to 25MB each; however, applicants are encouraged to keep files under 5MB to reduce upload time. Please allow sufficient time for each file to upload before attaching additional documents.

COMPLETING AN APPLICATION IN A GROUP/TEAM

Multiple people may work on an application using the same login details, provided only one person is editing the application at any given time. Please ensure you save changes regularly.
